Publisher Description
Pay for goods and services with your phone using Landsbankinn’s card app.
Landsbankinn’s card app allows you to store both debit and credit cards in a mobile wallet and to use the phone to pay both small and large amounts. The card app works with all card readers that accept contactless payment, both in Iceland and abroad.
Once you have downloaded the card app and registered your cards, you only have to unlock your phone using your fingerprint, face ID or passcode, and hold the phone up to a card reader to pay. It is not necessary to open the app itself to make payments. Such authentication affords the same security as entering a PIN.
All the benefits your cards confer, such as Aukakrónur or insurance, are included in payments using the card app in your phone. Withdrawal limits remain the same, as in fact do all card functions.
Landsbankinn’s payment cards are international VISA cards that incorporate all modern and up-to-date security measures. The same applies to VISA cards registered in Landsbankinn’s card app. A condition of use of the card app is to follow certain security rules in unlocking the phone, to safeguard the payment information registered in the app. Payments cannot be made unless the following requirements are met:
1. The phone has an active locking function (fingerprint, face ID or passcode)
2. Passcode is 4 digits at a minimum
3. The card app is granted access to the phone’s security settings
The app is only available to Landsbankinn customers with debit and/or credit cards issued by the Bank.
